It is so funny to me the changes that the movie made. Since the framing technique was removed, there had to be spectators, and rather than working madly by himself, the doctor has a deformed sidekick. Yet, some of this is very similar to the book. The fervor Dr. Frankenstein exudes when discussing his project, the lightning in the far off mountains that brought about the idea, and the way the doctor harvested parts from dead bodies, piecing them together. This scene is intense, and though it is changed, I feel it captures the correct tone of mania.
